Be a Vendor at the 6th Annual Everyday is Black History!
Self Help Hunger is proud to host the 6th Annual Everyday is Black History event on June 23rd! This year's theme is Honoring the Unsung Fathers, celebrating the incredible contributions of fathers in our community.
Are you a vendor who creates or sells products that celebrate Black culture? We're seeking a diverse range of vendors to showcase their work at this vibrant community event.
Here are some examples of what we're looking for:
Apparel: Clothing, accessories, and jewelry inspired by Black culture, history, and social movements.
Art: Paintings, sculptures, prints, and other artwork by Black artists.
Food: Soul food, Caribbean cuisine, African dishes, and other delicious Black-owned food businesses.
Health & Wellness: Natural beauty products, self-care items, and vendors promoting healthy living in the Black community.
Literature: Books by Black authors, including fiction, non-fiction, and children's books.
Music: CDs, vinyl records, and other music by Black artists.
Crafts & Jewelry: Handmade crafts, jewelry, and other unique creations by Black artisans.

What is needed to participate?
Retail Vendors:
•State of California Seller’s Permit
•City of Oakland Business License
•COI: Certificate of Liability Insurance
Food Vendors:
Need everything above plus,
•Alameda County Health Permit
•City of Oakland Annual Fire Permit (Food Trucks Only)
Non Profits:
•Proof of Non Profit Status
•COI: Certificate of Liability Insurance
